Laura Hernandez Final Exam

Final
The movie Beowulf, compared to the book is a little different. What never changes in either the book or the movie is that Beowulf is always the same fearless, brave guy. He battles to try to win the gold. He meets Wigliaf and goes to the dragons cave to defeat the dragon. After his big adventure he leaves and gives his gold and jewels to his people.
It’s the final battle to win the gold. Beowulf again goes to battle because he’s never afraid to fight. He goes to the dragons cave to show his braveness. He goes with an intention to kill the dragon so he can win the gold and also to protect his people.
His initiation is also him going to the dragons cave. It’s not only Beowulf fighting the dragon. Wigliaf goes with him to help each other kill the dragon. Beowulf’s mentor I would have to say is of course Wigliaf; he helps him defeat the dragon.
Beowulf’s return is that he dies and joins his great companion. When he dies all his gold and jewels are to be his peoples. His main purpose of fighting the dragon was to defend his people and to win the gold. Beowulf’s people create him a barrow. After all Beowulf’s legend has lived on.
