Martin Robles Final

Final
Remember those movies… that are really different from the books? Yep, Beowulf is one of those. But the main point of the story doesn’t change much, just the things that happened. For example Beowulf never changed, he is still the same brave and feared guy that doesn’t have any fears in both the movie and the book.
Beowulf is never afraid. And he proves this by going to the Dragon’s Cave. He goes there with hunger for gold and an attitude to kill the dragon. He is always just looking for ways to show that he is the bravest and that he should be the one feared, not just some silly dragon.
To me his initiation would be going to the dragons cave. Beowulf wasn’t the only one that fought the dragon. Wigliaf was there to help Beowulf complete this. And since Wigliaf was there to help Beowulf, I think that makes him a mentor.
I guess the ending doesn’t always have to be a happy ending… well at least that’s not what happened in this epic story. Beowulf’s return to me was when he died and all his jewels and gold that he earned were now his people’s. After all he fought the dragon to protect his people and to gain gold… and possibly to be well known and to be talked about even after his death. And It worked, after all this time people still tell the story about Beowulf.
